A pool-and-spa combination for coastal Barwon Heads
On the Bellarine coast at Barwon Heads, this project called for a backyard that worked year-round — a pool for the summer and a spa to enjoy through the cooler months by the sea.
We built a Compass X-Trainer 7.15SL paired with an X-Trainer spa as a pool-and-spa combination. The X-Trainer’s clean, symmetrical lines suit a contemporary coastal home, and the pairing means there’s always somewhere to relax — a quick swim, or a soak in the spa.
The standout is the colour: Viridian Bi-luminite™, a deep jewel-green with large reflective chips that give the water a shifting, three-dimensional depth — beautiful against a coastal setting.
As with almost every pool we build, it runs on Compass’s Vantage self-cleaning system, keeping the pool and spa clean automatically, on a tough ceramic-core shell backed by a lifetime structural warranty.
